Bachata Legend Manny Jhovanny Dies In A Traffic Accident

DAJABON.- Bachata singer Manny Jhovanny died this Saturday morning after hitting his vehicle with the back of a truck.

Manny was driving a white BMW SUV. The musician, Julio Dolores Díaz Almonte "Manny Jhovanny", was a native of Agua Clara, Santiago Rodríguez.

His body is currently in the old Villa Altagracia Social Security hospital.

The accident occurred at Km 36 of the Duarte highway in the Santo Domingo-Santiago direction.

His songs include Speak about me, the neighbors, Hechame a mi la culpa, Que bárbara fue, among others.

It is recalled that Manny Jhovanny received three bullet wounds in 2008 by unknown persons who took away his vehicle and a cell phone. On that occasion, he was on the brink of death and spent several days in intensive care at HOMS in Santiago.

After learning of the bachata singer's death, early this Saturday, people began to express their regret after hearing about this news.

"It is sad and unfortunate to hear the news that a colleague and brother passed away in Bachata I am very sorry for your departure brother" said Eduardo Acevedo Cabrera better known as "El Varón de la Bachata"
