Santiago Riverón, mayor of Dajabón, is isolated at his residence after testing positive for the coronavirus.
The information was offered by the municipal executive himself, who said that he is at home complying with the protocol established by the authorities to prevent the spread.
The mayor assured that the health problems that he presents do not affect the operations of the council.
Last weekend, Santiago Riverón accompanied President Luis Abinader on a tour of various sectors of Dajabón.
He also participated together with the president in the Governing Council held in that district.
